Low-Carbon
Lime Production
Unlocking Circular Mineral Production

CarbonBlue’s EcoLime technology is capable of extracting high-quality lime and other valuable metals and minerals from previously undesirable materials: steel slag, construction and demolition waste, and more.

EcoLime uses electrochemistry to break these feedstocks down into their base elements without the need for external material.

Fully electrified, our patented EcoLime technology is clean, requires no combustion or fuels,  and emits no GHGs.

Tap Into Feedstock Flexibility

EcoLime enables the on-site production of lime from nearly any
calcium-bearing material, from low-grade limestone with elevated magnesium content and all the way to industrial waste such as steel slag and construction and demolition waste.

The high quality of EcoLime’s end product is unaffected by the quality of the feedstock, consistently delivering highly pure hydrated lime. This unlocks circularity and increases resource efficiency, as well as significantly reduces emissions, especially when using low-carbon feedstocks.

On-Site Production

EcoLime’s small form factor, paired with its feedstock flexibility, allows for on-site deployment at the consumer’s location. Shortening supply chains and simplifying logistics, EcoLime is your site-specific, dedicated lime and mineral upcycling facility.

High Quality Lime

Tested and validated in water treatment, construction materials and other industries, EcoLime’s hydrated lime boasts a very high percentage of reactive material, and has very low amounts of metal contaminants. EcoLime’s high purity and homogenous granularity makes the material ready for the most exacting applications and industries.

Zero Pollutants,
Low Carbon Footprint

In comparison to current production methods, EcoLime’s reduced emissions and pollutants, as well as its independence from fossil fuel combustion, greatly simplify permitting and interfaces with environmental protection agencies and other regulatory bodies. EcoLime thereby allows producers and consumers to proactively meet developing regulations and changing environmental and market demands.
