The CarbonBlue vision is of a future in which industries intrinsically support and contribute to the balance and stability of our global climate. A future in which the rehabilitation, restoration and expansion of ecosystems and natural resources is an integral part of our everyday use of technology and infrastructure. A future in which the growth of transportation, communication, and commerce does not incur an environmental debt, and instead generates more environmental credit. A future of cross-industry, trans-national and cross-cultural cooperation.
Finally, the CarbonBlue vision is of a future in which the threat of the climate crisis is a receding one; a future in which there is a green and Blue future to look forward to.

Our Story
Direct climate rehabilitation
CarbonBlue was founded in 2022 by Dr. Dan Deviri and Iddo Tsur following the realization that in order to secure a safe climactic future, industries and economies must inherently support the environment and the ecosystems on which it depends.
With CDR – carbon dioxide removal – being the most impactful means of addressing the climate crisis, the two set out to develop technology that would allow any industry to transform its infrastructure into a carbon-negative or carbon-neutral asset.
The company’s scientific breakthrough, which enables the harnessing of any type of water for CDR purposes, without changing or interfering with its chemistry in any other way, holds the potential to bring about that vision of a green future.
Since its founding, Deviri and Tsur have been joined by a growing team of engineers, scientists, business developers and creatives, all sharing the same environmental vision: rehabilitating our climate.

CarbonBlue is an environment-first organization; our mandate is to rehabilitate and stabilize the climate and the environment, and this cannot be done without the communities which are a part of it.
We wouldn’t be able to fulfil our mission without the help and support of the communities we affect most; communities of local people with an intimate knowledge and unique understanding of their environment.
Whether it’s collaborating with the members of the coastal community of Kibbutz Maagan Michael, where our first pilot facility was constructed, learning from the indigenous communities and their unique ways of knowing in North America, or partnering with local beer breweries in Tel Aviv to help them become carbon neutral, our goal has always been to work hand-in-hand with the people close to us, to empower, educate – and most importantly, to learn.
